"Visitor" is a song written and performed by a local band, The Receiver. The music video was made by Vital Film Works whose description on YouTube says they are a "a Columbus based company focused on film, commercial and television production." The music video of Visitor was made for the Ohio Film Music Video Challenge.
One of the criteria of the competition was that the video be shot locally... in Ohio. It was fun in some of the Ohio music videos to pick out the locations.
I cringed when I saw a comment "kind of makes me glad I don't live in Columbus, I hear the crime there's pretty bad. For reals, very cool song and great video"
there were other comments about stealing and in particular robbing from children... none of those comments seemed to get people's attention the way this particular comment did.
A couple of people told the dolt fella on Youtube that Columbus is not abnormally crime ridden...
He then explained he was being facetious...
"I know, I know... I was being facetious; not sure why since many looking at these comments won't know any better. I'm genuinely proud that Columbus is a really swell (and safe) town."
Hint this song is not about crime... The music / video is not about crime in Columbus...
I love this music... I find Visitor, both the song and music video haunting. Visitor is my favorite Columbus video. Visitor is one of four video's set in Columbus (showing Columbus locations) that is still in the running... there was at least one more Columbus video in the original 23 videos submitted to the competition....
