Maureen, where on earth?
Maureen - Is this a sculpture to commemorate a nursery rhyme or story?
The hare sculpture is in Ballantrae, a devolpment in Dublin Ohio. See the bike? It is a huge sculpture.
The photo links to the sculptors site. Hares or rabbits are often part of her works of art, the artist is Sophie Ryder.
April, I think the three hares are a theme in Celtic art, there may be a myth that goes with it but I don't understand Celtic mythology at all....
Oh Maureen: How whimsical is that? I love rabbits so this is precious. I would not have known the bicycle was a scuplture as well. Very cute :-)
I took a look at Sophie's site. Her images evoke emotions on different levels, she's definitely multi-dimensional with a lot on her mind.
the bike is not part of the sculpture... there is a kid there too. he is not part of the sculpture either. It is very hands on art...
Hi Maureen... Since I live in a city known for Big Hair, I found this post to be especially amusing! Thanks for sharing!
There's a Chicago (?) agent whose blog's title is "It's not all Cadillacs and big hair" or vice verse... or something similar. I think of Big Hair when I see this sculpture. Chicago is not a big hair market to me... and I don't remember his name or his brokerage but I went to his site earlier today...
It Ain’t All Big Hair and Cadillacs
I had big hair when I was first licensed. It was the 80's...
Love the picture. It's liike a story book.
missed this... not getting emails about comments. Dublin does "whimsey" well to use a word that Maggie Dokic used about a photo about Worthington.
