Miami's Chilly January Weather

Miami Florida...

I have to re-blog this with our weather in the single digits in Columbus Ohio right now.

I have tried to get Maggie Dokic to guest blog on my ColumbusBestBlog.com to no avail.  I have offered to Maggie  and other real estate bloggers in markets that Central Ohioans may relocate to when the Ohio weather get's to be too much for them.

Maggie is from New York so she know's cold.

It's is going to be below 0° tonight?  High is supposed to be 7° tomorrow... bundle up. Olentangy and Westerville schools are closed tomorrow.

Heat wave for the weekend in Central Ohio ... the 20's.

Having grown up in New York, I find it funny that when the weather drops to the 50's in Miami, people start bundling up!

On my way to drop the kids off at school yesterday I looked over to the driver beside me and chuckled when I saw that he had a knit hat and gloves on.  It was only 57 degrees for Pete's sake!  I can't imagine what he'd wear in Alaska.

I admit, the main reason I don't live in New York anymore is the cold winters.  I am a chicken when it comes to the cold weather.  My body has betrayed me and acclimated quite nicely to the lovely weather here in Miami.  The balmy climate in South Florida suits me to a T but even I was airing my toes yesterday!

Maureen, the frigid air is plaguing us here in Michigan too.  But, at least there was sunshine today.  That seems to make it infinitely more bearable for me.

we did not have sunshine... or at least I never saw any it was more white than our usual gray .. you probably get more sun in MI than we do, in a valley south of the Great Lakes. I know Wisconsin and Illinois get more sun than we do here but I can't complain... my eyes bothered me as a kid because of the glare off the snow.  Not a problem here....

Hi Maureen... When I moved to Dallas back in 1991 I remember being excited that I would be done with winter weather.  With tonight's temperature in the 20's I am thinking that maybe I did not go far enough South!  LOL

they were saying northwest Ohio was going to be 20 below last tonight.  Over 300 schools in Central Ohio are closed today.  It's too cold here for the salt and other stuff they put on the roads to melt the snow and ice... no sympathy for people in 20 degree weather
