Maureen,

I sure don't remember Columbus ever looking like that, it has come of age.  I was there in the mid 60' stationed at Lockborne AFB.  My father was from there and just happened to be living there during the time that I was there.  Very nice city but I haven't been back since then.

Don I had forgot "Lockbourne AFB" ever existed...

Just before I moved to Columbus from Dayton I remember hearing that Columbus did not have a skyline.

Huh?

Now I had driven by Columbus a number of times from the north when I lived in Akron and was moving to Dayton... never saw downtown from that angle but when I lived in Dayton I actually came to Columbus a bunch of times and used to drive by on i70 on my way to the east coast... I thought I coulda swore that was a skyline....

Columbus is a much newer city than Cleveland and Cinci.. and a lot of the city of Columbus is more suburban.. and some virtually borders on cornfields.
