A rose by any other name would smell as sweet? Shakespeare...
Whetstone is a park in Clintonville. Clintonville is on the northside of the City of Columbus. More than one relocating client has asked me about the boundaries of Clintonville over the years.
On the Clintonville.org website hosted by the Clintonville Community Fund, Where does Clintonville end and Beechwold begin? it says:
“It all depends on who you ask - but the truthful answer remains the same. Neither “Clintonville” nor “Beechwold” ever existed as political or formally recognized entities. Thus any answer as to where the boundaries are between the two areas is an answer based on myth.”
Another Clintonville myth? Or near myth? Clintonville is dry. I will never dare to say that Clintonville is dry again online... I did on ColumbusBestBlog.com There are NOT a lot of drinking establishments in the Clintonville Beechwold area may be a safer statement.
We went to the 2008 Columbus Rose Festival this year... I miss it most years... too busy with real estate in June. If you like roses visit the Park of Roses at Whetstone Park
There are fireworks at Whetstone on the 4th of July. There's a concert at the park every Sunday evening during the summer too.------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I love roses, does it smell as good as it looks?
You know I tried not to sniff a lot.. because I had not taken any allergy pills... I walked around sniffing and sneezing and sniffed way more than I should have.
Some of the prettiest would not have any smell.... we would try to describe the smell to one another... perfumy, spicy....
I have a love hate relationship with roses. I did not have any in my wedding... because I was in a hate period. My middle name is Rose.
Maureen, I am a rose bush kinda guy. I love my roses in my garden. Nice pictures.
I am too lazy for roses... my idea of roses in landscaping are the second and second to last in my slideshow. Both are the "Carefree" roses which I think is a brand? Lots of blooms... no care.
There is no denying they are a gorgeous flower.
Thanks for the comment.
Maureen,

Missed Don's comment... thanks. Almost three years later.
