September 2011 home sales were slightly better than September 2011, 58 sales vs. 55 a year ago. The number of homes for sale was down slightly too, 505 compared to 520.

Hilliard home sales were up 5.5% from September 2011 sales. The number of homes for sale in Hilliard schools was down 2.9% from a year ago.

The homes for sale in Hilliard in the graph are all those in the Hilliard City School District. Hilliard school neighborhoods included Ballantrae, Britton Farms, Brookfield Village, Cross Creek, Darby Glen, Golfview Woods, Hilliard Green, Hoffman Farms, Mill Run, Ridgewood, The Glen, Westbrook and others. The neighborhoods are all in the Hilliard City School District and are in the Cities of Columbus, Dublin, or Hilliard or unincorprated areas (townships) within the Hilliard school district boundaries. The school district boundaries were in place long before the Hilliard area was developed.

It does look as if the trend in sales is upward...a good sign. Also inventory looks to be dropping - a good sign as well.
Sales are up in Hilliard, not as much as other Central Ohio communities. Inventory is going down, a good thing for home sellers.
