Columbus Ohio real estate

The Columbus Dispatch Empire is growing....

The Columbus Dispatch bought Columbus Monthly, Columbus CEO, Suburban Newspapers and The Other Paper as well as other local publications.  I read about it on Twitter...

Columbus Dispatch

The Columbus Dispatch is the owner of This Week News and NOW the Suburban News Papers direct competitors with papers in Dublin, Hilliard,  Olentangy schools, Westerville, Worthington and other Central Ohio suburbs and Columbus neighborhoods.

The Columbus Dispatch Empire already included Alive, a weekly paper... the Columbus Dispatch counter to The Other Paper.

After hearing about the local news publishing shake up on Twitter I read about it in Business First Columbus.

Maureen that is good news as most places the Printed Word is shrinking, good to see that the Columbus Printed word is gowing instead of falling to the wayside:)

It may mean that printed word will shrink here too.   There are competing weekly suburban newspapers, speculation is they will combine them.  Also that Alive and The Other Paper will not both be kept alive.  The Other Paper ofte poked  fun at the Columbus Dispatch...

Nice picture. Is the Columbus Dispatch owned by Ganett? They own a lot of papers and have merged the suburban papers here into one big paper rather than each town having their own paper anymore.

Locally owned and operated...   The Wolfe family owns the daily paper, a number of other weekly community papers,  a TV station and two radio stations and now the rest of the printed media in town...

Wikipedia says:

"The Dispatch and the various WBNS stations (WBNS (AM), WBNS-FM, and WBNS-TV) as part of the Dispatch Broadcast Group are privately owned by the Wolfe family. Although this concentration of media ownership might seem to run afoul of the Federal Communications Commission's cross-ownership rules, the family was granted an exemption because their ownership pre-dated the regulations. The Dispatch Broadcast Group also includes WTHR Channel 13 in Indianapolis, Indiana, an affiliate of NBC, and the "Ohio News Network" cable news channel."
