Real Living HER Open House List - September 11, 2011 brought to you by Maureen McCabe of Real Living HER
Currently there are 51 open houses on the Real Living HER Open House List*.
I read a discussion on a Facebook page for the real estate industry earlier this week about whether real estate agents should hold open houses on the anniversary of the September 11, 2001 attacks on the United States.
There are many things to do in Central Ohio today in remembrance of September 11, 2011. Some events were early this morning. Others like Worthington's ceremony on the Village Green are in the afternoon. Dublin's flag display is up through Monday, an opportunity for those who have other obligations to do something to remember the victims, the heroes and the survivors of September 11, 2001.
The Real Living HER Open House List on my site.
Not on the Real Living HER Open House List but open this Sunday, just like normal is the New England Homes Sales Center at 5191 Columbus, Pike, Lewis Center, Ohio 43035. The hours of the New England Homes Sales Center are 1:00 to 5:00 p.m.
*I am not holding all 51 homes open. In fact I am not holding any of the homes on the list this week open. The number of open houses could change...probably not a lot this week. Most weeks, the number could change. New listings added to the list. Home could go under contract prior to an open house. Check and double check the list...

I don't see any problem in holding an Open House on 9/11. Our economy needs every sale we can get.
Stores did not close, restaurants were open, why would real estate agents NOT hold open houses? I had to work at a new homes sales center and there was NO traffic.
I would have gone to the Worthington ceremony if I had NOT been scheduled at New England Homes.
