It's Friday, May 6, 2011... so that means it's the first Friday of the month.... so that means it is Furnace Filter Friday on this site.
Every Friday there's a post related to furnace or HVAC but the first Friday of the month is Furnace Filter Friday.
Here's a helpful hint from Columbus Home Inspector Rick Harrington: Helpful hints replace the furnace filter on a regular basis
Maybe like monthly...
Or maybe not...
But change your filter regularly.
It is still awfully cold during the night here, there was a freeze warning yesterday (Thursday) morning, but before you know it many people in Central Ohio will be running their AC 24/7. Rick's post was written in the dead of winter but he says:
"Dirty filters slow airflow and the furnace takes longer to heat the home. (cooling in the summer). If you have animals or a large family (or a large family of animals) this may need change quite often."
April 1, 2011 was Furnace Filter Friday
March 2011- Seasonal Maintenance
February 2011 -Just a Reminder
January 2011 - I Almost Forgot
December 2010 - Furnace Maintenance is year round

Very good idea to write a blog every months to remind people to change their furnace filters.
Maybe I need to change that AC filter today. It has been several months!
Eric... it seemed like a good idea.
