This graph shows inventory of single family homes for the past 15 months in the Worthington City School District. There are 5.5 months of homes for sale based on April 2011 home sales in the area. That is balanced (not a buyer's market, not a seller's market.) There are bound to be price ranges and neighborhoods in Worthington schools with a shortage of inventory... and others with lots of inventory.

The 5.5 months of inventory is down 26.2% from March 2011 but up 55.9% from this time last year when there was only 3.6 months of homes for sale.
Homes sold in April were up 40.6 from March 2011. April Worthington home sales were down 25% (40 vs. 60 a year ago) from last year. There was a tax credit for most buyers on homes in contract by the end of April 2010. The homes in this graph reflect closed home sales.
Our market is seasonal, home sales in 2011 were 30, in February 2011, 32 in March 2011 and 45 in April.

The average sold price is up 1.4% from last month. The April 2011 average price of 224,000 is up 1.8% from April 2010. The median sales price for a single family home in Worthington schools in April was identical to last years at $179,000.
Worthington homes for sale - neighborhoods
T
he homes in Worthington schools are in the cities of Worthington or Columbus, or Riverlea a village or in Perry or Sharon townships.
Those homes in the Worthington Corporation Limit, sometimes referred to as "Worthington Proper" include neighborhoods such as Colonial Hills, Old Worthington, Olentangy Hills, Worthington Estates and Worthingway.
Riverlea a small village in the Worthington City School District which wants to be annexed to Worthington.
Columbus, Ohio 43085 homes in addition to homes in the city of Worthington and the Village of Riverlea, a
little piece of Columbus north of 270 and a smidgen of Columbus west of Olentangy River Road and assorted unincorporated bits and pieces have this mailing address and are in the Worthington City School District. Neighborhoods in addition to City of Worthington properties include neighborhoods such as Deercreek, Olentangy Highlands, Village at Worthington, Worthington Woods and more.

The zip code has neighborhoods in Columbus and Dublin schools but the largest part of it is neighborhoods in Worthington City schools including some of the homes in Brookside Woods, Worthington Hills and the Worthingview neighborhoods among others.

There are also homes in Worthington schools with Dublin, Powell and Westerville addresses, examples are Olde Sawmill (part of the Olde Sawmill neighborhood is Dublin schools), Seven Oaks, Worthington Highlands and Worthingwoods. The homes are in Columbus or an unincorporated area (either Sharon or Perry Township.) The school district boundaries were set long before much of northern Franklin County was developed.
