This year there is 9.7 months of inventory. Another thing I learn from that the stats and graphs do get adjusted! If I was showing you the chart for homes for sale this year,(creating the aqua graph) it would show March 2010 with 4.6 months of inventory.

Remember in 2010 many home buyers were subject to a tax credit. Home sales needed to be in contract by April 30, 2010 to qualify. Those sales needed to close by September 30, 2010 for buyers to qualify (originally earlier but it was extended.)
