Columbus Board of REALTORS® says of February sales, February home prices...

Nothing... 

The February results were due out yesterday according to the Columbus Board of REALTORS site, a table there says:

"Mar. 21 - February stats released"

It's a public page.

Columbus Board of REALTORS MLS home prices

The Columbus Dispatch says of Columbus Board of REALTORS mls home prices:

" The average sales price dropped 4.1 percent, to $143,296."

The fact that it matches my graph thrills me.

This graph shows residential sales for the past 15 month for the whole Columbus Board of REALTORS® mls (multiple listing service) area.  Real estate is local, the Columbus Board of REALTORS MLS (multiple listing service) serves:  )all of Franklin, Delaware, Fayette, Madison, Morrow, Pickaway and Union Counties and parts of Champagne, Clark, Hocking, Licking, Fairfield, Knox, Logan, Marion, and Ross Counties. "

I concentrate on real estate in northern Franklin County and southern Delaware County.

I usually make graphs of single family sales but the graph here is residential sales (condos, single family and townhouses combined) to match the way the Columbus Board of REALTORS reports sales.  Links below are to reports for single family homes only.

Central Ohio home prices for February 2011* - Franklin County home prices

Columbus, Ohio 43202 real estate - Clintonville area, Old North Columbus, etc. average sale price $150,000

Columbus, Ohio 43085 real estate - a zip code in the Worthington area, average sale price $217,000

Columbus, Ohio 43214 real estate - the Clintonville / Beechwold area, average sale price $164,000

Columbus, Ohio 43235 real estate   - the West Worthington area, average sale price $227,000

Village of Riverlea real estate - no single family home sales in February

Worthington (city of Worthington)  real estate - average sale price $243,000

Worthington real estate  - the Worthington City School District, average sale price $208,000

Central Ohio home prices for February 2011* - Delaware County home prices

Columbus, Ohio 43240 real estate  - the Polaris area in southern Delaware County, average sale price $155,000

Lewis Center, Ohio 43035 real estate -  average sale price $230,000

Powel, Ohio 43065 real estate - mostly southern Delaware County average sale price $312,000

Olentangy Local School District real estate  - average sale price $300,000

* I look at single family home sales usually all of the above are single family homes.   CBR looks at residential, single family, condos and townhouses combined.

The national and state figures were announced yesterday.  Down.  Down.

February 2010 many home buyers received tax credits.

The Columbus Dispatch article by Jim Weiker this morning,  Home sales,  prices down for 12 month period  says

"In the Columbus area, 1,062 homes were sold during the month, compared with 1,108 last February, according to preliminary numbers from the Ohio Association of Realtors. The average sales price dropped 4.1 percent, to $143,296." The fact that it matches my graph thrills me. 

The Columbus Dispatch article used the Ohio press release to issue the information about the CBR mls results.

If the news is there  on the CBR site I am still not seeing it.

"2011 central Ohio home sales statistics release schedule

Jan. 20 - 2010 stats released
Feb. 23 - January stats released
Mar. 21 - February stats released
Apr. 20 - March stats released "

CBR news release just hit my mailbox....  I knew if I gave up waiting it would come through... 

"(March 22, 2011) Home sales for the first two months of the year are just 1.1 percent behind the same period last year suggesting a strong start for the central Ohio housing market according to the Columbus Board of REALTORS® (CBR). " 

I am sure it is on the CBR site now too...
