a wonderful Worthingview neighbor
I had an open house yesterday in Worthingview, on a home that is not my listing.
A nice neighbor chiseled the ice off the "walkway" for the open house.
I usually put out open house signs early Sunday morning for the open house scheduled in the afternoon.
Once last year (early in 2010) I had an open house scheduled (on the Real Living HER Open House List ) and I canceled it Sunday morning because the snow was NOT shoveled. It was not my listing.
I had my listing on Snowmass Road in Worthingview open in January 2011 and shoveled the driveway for the open house. It was my listing... It was Sunday morning... I was happy to see the driveway and walkway on Snowmass cleared Sunday as we had a showing scheduled Saturday.
Anyway I had an open house yesterday in Worthingview, it was not my listing. A neighbor came over and chipped the ice off the front walk. We'd brought a snow shovel over in the morning but it was useless with the thick block of ice that was the front walkway. When I made it back for the Sunday afternoon open house I had "Ice Melt" but even generously pouring "Ice Melt" on the walkway the ice would have been melted by about 4:00 at an open house scheduled for 2:00 to 4:00.
Thank God for the wonderful neighbor of the Worthingview home who used the perfect shovel for chiseling through that ice.

I want to thank the Worthingview resident for his help. Another neighbor on Amol Lane came by during the open house to see the house for a friend. She said the people on Amol Lane are like that.
Revolting Realtors - the Realtors revolting against open houses do not want to hold an open house and do not want other real estate agent to hold open houses...

The houses pictured ARE not for sale... the snow pictured is a snowfall in December 2010 not the icy stuff we had last week. Groundhog says we are going to have an early spring in 2011...
