Extreme Makeover : Home Edition headed back to Columbus
Columbus Ohio's M/I Homes was selected by ABC's "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition" to build a house for a Whitehall, Ohio family.
Real Living has partnered with M/I Homes in this project as a sponsor. Real Living is hosting M/I Homes' new Web site that provides more information about the project including a day by day photo journal.
John Thomas and his family will be featured on "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition"in February 2007 according to an article in the Columbus Dispatch. The Thomas families' home at 4688 Harbinger Circle W. in Whitehall was demolished on Tuesday, Nov. 14, 2006 to make way for the new home being built by M/I Homes and volunteers. The home is scheduled to be rebuilt by M/I hombe by Sunday. A former member of the U.S. Marine Corps; Thomas is one of two Marines who helped save two New York City Police Officers buried in the rubble at the World Trade Center on Sept. 11, 2001.
A bilevel built in 1998, the Thomas family purchased the Whiteahll Ohio home in 2003. The new home will have approximately twice the square footage according to the Columbus Dispatch. The Web site says there was an overwhelming outpouring of volunteers but "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition" is looking for donations to pay off the mortgage on the original house on the lot.

I really LIKE that photo...I used to use a--um--whatchmacallit like that once!
I like to watch that show occasionally--keep us posted on the date.
I do not watch that show... but I am sure I will know when it is on and I will let the world know that Columbus Ohio is on TV.
Is that a hammer?
"If I had a hammer.... I'd probably be dangerous...
It is on on Sunday Jay... two episodes back to back.... The house that was demolished was built in 1998, they sure don't build them like they used to.
Elderberry.. that's what the graphic says.
This is just my opinion. I dont know if the the firefighters who got stuck in the building got any reward for trying to save peoples lives that day. I dont know if they both got a new house or not , but I think those to men deserve a house more than the marine who saved them. Im sorry but those men actually went into a building that was about to come down and burning. The marine was with a search group looking for anyone who was trapped in the buildings, and by luck he found the firefighters. Now maybe he should of gotten an award or something but everyone out there that day put their lives on the line to help people and everyone shoule be rewarded not just the marine. Like I said that is just my opinion.
this is my comment the guy is a hero i have sat and talked with my company is the one who painted his home he is a great guy
thanks Matt
