HomeGard FREE HVAC maintenance service

HomeGard FREE HVAC maintenance service

Real Living HER ecard because

HomeGard is the Real Living HER home warranty. "Claim - No - Claim" is a relatively new feature of that home warranty program... HomeGard is available to buyers (and sellers) of real estate in Central Ohio.  Up to $100.00 of free home heating or air conditioning maintenance service if you have not made a claim in the first nine months.

Today is Friday... It is hard to believe it is Friday already, but with last Friday was Christmas Eve... and every Friday is Furnace Friday on this site.  The first Friday of the month is Furnace Filter Friday.  Are you with us?  Remember to pick up a filter for your furnace if you don't have one for Friday January 7, 2011.  I try to find something from a home inspector about furnaces most Fridays.

The "Claim - No - Claim"  benefit was introduced in the past year on the Real Living HomeGard Warranty

"There is a new feature in the  Real Living HomeGard Warranty for home buyers called  "Claim - No - Claim"  if the buyer  has not placed a claim in the first nine months of the first year coverage they are entitled to heating or air conditioning maintenance service.  Up to $100.00.

Not a bad feature...

"Even if nothing breaks, this warranty pays up to $100 toward an HVAC maintenance service."

Real Living HER formerly known as HER Realtors has offered the HomeGard warranty a home maintenance warranty since, 1974.  HomeGard of Ohio a new era

Maureen is Real Living HardGard Warranty a nation wide company?

Posted by Michael Ford, Matching Families with Homes (Coldwell Banker Heritage Homes) about 8 years ago

I am not sure...

it is private labeled HMS for Real Living, I am not sure if that can be done nationally because of different state requirements.

I think the warranty program is subject to insurance laws in Ohio...

"HomeGard® of Ohio has been around for a long time... since 1974.  I was sorta sad when we got an email that HomeGard® is changing.  If you have a HomeGard® of Ohio policy on your home, effective Monday you will have a HomeGard HMS policy.

HomeGard Logo and mission statement

HomeGard® of Ohio was unique in that the company affiliated with Real Living HER (formerly HER Realtors®)  was locally owned and operated.  Home buyers and home sellers had a choice of local contractors to use for covered repairs to the mechanical systems in their homes. Home warranties are very commonly used in Central Ohio when homes are being sold.  The warranty can protect the seller during the listing period and be offered to the buyer for their first year of home ownership."

I thought at first you were Coldwell Banker Heritage in the Dayton Ohio area...  they I believe would have Real Living HomeGard ... the same as ours in Central Ohio above is part of a post I wrote when our little local HomeGard that was privately owned and locally administered became a private label product through HMS.

It is a lot more complex than it once was.

We have a very high percentage of homes covered by a home warranty at closing in our market.

I think "Claim - No - Claim" may be an HMS feature that is available elsewhere not just a Central Ohio thing but  national?  I don't know.
