Pita Hut or I guess it is Pita Hut N Grille is right next door to Bob's Bar. I got a twofer Friday evening. I met some co-workers at Bob's Bar, "The Cultural Hub of the Midwest" for "happy hour" on Friday. There were only 5 of us who went to Bob's Bar. The "be there or be square" was not a big enough challenge for most in our Worthington office. Only two of us went to Pita Hut.
The hungry ones.
Pita Hut N Grille is at 4965 N. High St. Columbus Ohio 43214. The north Columbus area might be referred to as the "Clintonville Beechwold area" or Sharon Heights. The residential areas nearby are Delawanda Park and Old Beechwold. This not so pretty strip mall is just south of Graceland Shopping Center.
I took the photo of Pita Hut N Grille when I listed a house at 301 Girard Rd. Columbus Ohio 43214 which is nearby, walking distance. I had never eaten at Pita Hut before... I should have taken a photo of my food with my cell phone Friday night. What kind of a poor excuse for a blogger am I? I am not a food blogger, obviously. I had the kebab sandwich and fries. My friend had a falafel sandwich.
I don't eat bread but I am very shy about asking if I can order a sandwich without bread especially the first time I eat in a restaurant. Especially if it is an ethnic restaurant, I don't usually ask if I can order a sandwich without bread or ask how things are prepared. There were forks!!! The people at the restauarnt were very nice... I guess I should have just ordered kebabs no worries about bread.
When I ordered a Diet Coke... the man waiting on me did not say "Pepsi no Coke" ;- (
Pita Hut N Grille describes it' self as "Fine Middle Eastern Cuisine." I will go back. It was OK. It was fun.
More about the area:
Graceland Shopping Center - history
Sharon Heights everything turns out all right - recent history
The Delawanda - a business on N. High in the 1920s. The Delawanda Park and Ride is where The Delawanda stood in the 1920s. Wondering how wide the frontage of the property was. I wonder if this strip mall is on what was The Delawanda too. I believe it was.

Great name for a restaurant...suprised that there are not more by that name...i am not a bread person either and just ask for it on the side...sounds tasty and if you bring in a copy of the blog to Pita Hut...you may get a "two -for" as a thank you.
