Ackerly Park.. the 2010 BIA Parade of Homes

The New England Homes model at Ackerly Park, the 2010 Parade of Homes
... pictured above... not everyone today seemed to think staging a bedroom this way was funny. The note on the basket says:
"Parker,
Please clean your room!"
The note goes on to say how many people will be seeing the room.

Some were amused at the realism. Not all on Realtors Day laughed,

Maureen, that's very creative, and funny. Thanks, and have a great day.
Good morning Maureen,
Very stately homes in your parade of homes.! What was the price range of them. Looks like a decorator was trying to think out side the box for you to remember that builders home..it worked!
Thanks ladies.
Nothing over a million this year. Central Ohio is very affordable... even New Albany is affordable relatively speaking. I believe the lowest priced home was $775,000 and that one is under contract, the house from the Tuckerman Group.... I believe the New England Homes & Garth's Auction's house (pictured... both pictures) is around $899,000. $900K +/-
It worked for me Dorie. It is one of the more memorable bedrooms. This is New England Homes third BIA Parade of Homes entry, the other two won the People's Choice award... listening to the mixed reviews at Realtor Day I hope the general public has a better sense of humor.
Maureen,
I liked the post, I think I would have laughed at the room. Not sure how I would have thought about it later. ...
Yancey Welome to ActiveRain... I know you are new.
That is realism at it's best. It's actually and upscale version of my kids rooms.
;- )
One wonders if he actually cleaned his room but just forgot to take the note down. LOL
I really enjoy something different like that room. You won't forget that home. Dare to take a risk and be a bit innovative!
I have spent a lot of my life in New England and these homes do have that same elegant feel as some I would see in Massachusetts or New Hampshire.
New England Homes is the builders name... local builder....
