Columbus Board of Realtors - Breaking News... December home sales

The Columbus Board of Realtors announced the results of December 2009 home sales today.

Home prices for December 2009 - All counties covered by the Columbus Board of Realtors

The sales results page of Columbus Realtors Website:  2009 ends with a bang for Columbus home sales

"Home sales in the last four months of 2009 were up 24.3 percent over the same time in 2008, according to the Columbus Board of REALTORS®. In the month of December alone, 1,464 homes were sold, 150 more than the year before."

I start doing quick market reports each month as soon as Real Living HER has access to data to build graphs from Trendgraphix.  It won't match because I do single family home sales now that it is possible with Trendgraphix. YES!!  The sales information from the Columbus Board of Realtors is single family and condominium, combined...  I believe.

Central Ohio "The Columbus Board of REALTORS® Multiple Listing Service (MLS) serves all of Franklin, Delaware, Fayette, Madison, Morrow and Union Counties and parts of Champagne, Clark, Hocking, Licking, Fairfield, Knox, Logan, Marion, Pickaway and Ross Counties"

I don't... serve all those counties but I did a market report (single family to compare.)

Clintonville - MLS area

Dublin - school district

Grandview Heights - school district

Hilliard - school district

Lewis Center - ZIP code

Powell - MLS area corporation limit

Upper Arlington - school district

Westerville - school district

Worthington - school district

Still to come in the next few days unless I get sidetracked.  I hate doing these....

New Albany

Maybe the Olentangy Local School District as well.

Home prices in Central Ohio?  The Columbus Board of Realtors page says:

"The average sale price was $157,130 in December, an increase of nearly 5 percent from the same time in 2008."

The graph at the top is what the data available earlier this month showed. Not an exact mathch...  It matches the official 157,130 that Trendgrahix shows pretty close. This is residential, single families and condominiums.

Single Family only is more like, $161,000.  Not that huge a difference between single family and condominium.  Central Ohio home sale prices - Single Family homes

Columbus Board of Realtors data via MLS areas

Published January  2010 based on data available from the Columbus Board of REALTORS® at the end of December 2009.   TrendGraphix reports presented are based on data supplied by the Columbus Board of Realtors.  According to Trendgraphix neither  CBR nor their MLS (multiple listing service ) guarantee or are in anyway responsible for its accuracy. "Information deemed reliable but not guaranteed."  Same goes for me!  Only Real Living HER agents are authorized to use Trendgraphix in Central Ohio for real estate market news updates.

There are discrepancies.
