In an article in Marie Claire Columbus ranks nationally as a good place to find a man.
Sex & Love Advice.... Where The Guys Are is about where the best cities for the best single guys...
Marie Claire says they used US Census Data to determine the best cities to find guys... then factored other things in... like bar time. Looking to meet a guy? Look in Central Ohio.
Columbus which ranked 18th in the country is described by Marie Claire:
"Where corn-fed frat boys go to spawn. With biceps as firm as their Midwestern values, these gosh-darn-it good guys spend Saturday nights bouncing from bar to bar, plastic cups foaming with Bud, scouting for a low-key beauty with whom to make little Buckeyes fans. (The average age for getting hitched in this town: 25.) Forget brunch dates: His Sundays are reserved for God and football."
Columbus sports oriented? Ya think? The Marie Clair article tells you what he wears, what he drives, his pick up line and more.... Personally I don't get the comment about the Short North.
Only six of the twenty cities on the Marie Claire list got a write up, including Columbus... so girl's if that job in Columbus is offered to you, remember it is where the guys are.
Thanks to an article on the Zillow Blog written by Amy Bohutinsky, Zillow VP of Communications about Marie Claire's ranking of cities with single men... otherwise I'd never have been aware of this article featuring our fair city as a "meet market."

I have to disagree with Columbus being the #1 babe magnet. Any city in Texas usually satifies most women based on men's southern hospitality, family values and financial well-being. Women just love cowboys!
OK Marie Claire Magazine prolly got it wrong...
