Sirius is a street in the Polaris area. Sirius Street is named after the "dog star", and the dog days of Summer is also named after the dog star, Siruis.
Wikipedia says of the Dog Days of Summer:
"The Old Farmer's Almanac lists the traditional timing of the Dog Days as the 40 days beginning July 3 and ending August 11, coinciding with the ancient heliacal (at sunrise) rising of the Dog Star, Sirius. These are the days of the year when rainfall is at its lowest levels."
Polaris area - street names
The streets in the Village at Polaris Park neighborhood all have odd sounding names to me. Mira, Carano Altair, Tegmen, Sarin, Sargas and Electra must have to do with the heavens above as well. Altair sounds familiar... so does Electra but maybe because of Carmen Elektra (?)
The Village at Polaris Park are free standing condos built by Dominion Homes a few years ago.

Dominion built their "Villages" of free standing homes all over Central Ohio a few years back.
