Worthingview neighborhood mls* listings - price range today is $154,900 to $299,900  with one home in contract priced at $399,900.  I don't believe the house that is "in-contract" (pending) says it is in Worthingview. That is not a mandatory field in the mls.    The link to virtually all homes in the mls listed as Worthingview will show current listings.  It will NOT what was on the market in April 2011.

$154,900 to $299,900 ...That's quite a price range huh?  Hint there is a bank owned home on the market in the Worthingview neighborhood... the home priced at $299,900 is on the same cul-de-sac as the home that is "in-contract" at $399,900.

The Worthingview neighborhood is in the Bluffsview Elementary School attendance area, also McCord Middle School and Worthington Kilbourne High School, in the Worthington City School District.  If a particular school or school district is important to you always check and double check what school district the property (any property) is located in with tax records.  Attendance areas within local school districts change year to year based on population.  I believe Worthingview has been Bluffsview Elementary since the school opened in the early 1990s.  Bluffsview Elementary is soooooo close to the Worthingview neighborhood.  The Worthingview neighborhood was built in the late 1970s so prior to Bluffsview being built the kids went to? Brookside?  Granby? Just guessing.

Again check and double check what schools an address goes to.   The Worthington City School District has attendance maps and a list by streets on their site.

Worthingview Open House -Thursday

The Real Living HER Open House List - This week The first week since Daylight Saving Time kicked in on Sunday!  The Worthingview Open House was the only Open House on the Real Living HER Open House list for March 14 to March 19, 2011 on Monday.  There are others on the Real Living HER Open House List now.

a wonderful Worthingview neighbor

I had an open house yesterday in Worthingview, on a home that is not my listing. 

A nice neighbor chiseled the ice off the "walkway"  for the open house.

I usually put out open house signs early Sunday morning for the open house scheduled in the afternoon.

Once last year  (early in 2010) I had an open house scheduled (on the Real Living HER Open House List ) and I canceled it Sunday morning because the snow was NOT shoveled.  It was not my listing.

I had my listing on Snowmass Road in Worthingview open in January 2011 and shoveled the driveway for the open house.   It was my listing... It was Sunday morning...   I was happy to see the driveway and walkway on Snowmass cleared Sunday as we had a showing scheduled Saturday.

Anyway I had an open house yesterday in Worthingview, it was not my listing.  A neighbor came over and chipped the ice off the front walk.  We'd brought a snow shovel over in the morning but it was useless with the thick block of ice that was the front walkway.  When I made it  back for the Sunday afternoon open house I had "Ice Melt" but even generously pouring "Ice Melt"  on the walkway the ice would have been melted by about 4:00 at an open house scheduled for 2:00 to 4:00.

Thank God for the wonderful neighbor of the Worthingview home who used the perfect shovel for chiseling through that ice.

• Clear the walkways. 
• Clear a path around the perimeter of your home. 
• Make sure the front entry is accessible and safe." 

I want to thank the Worthingview resident for his help. Another neighbor on Amol Lane came by during the open house to see the house for a friend.  She said the people on Amol Lane are like that.

Revolting Realtors  - the Realtors revolting against open houses do not want to hold an open house and do not want other real estate agent to hold open houses...

The houses pictured ARE not for sale...  the snow pictured is a snowfall in December 2010 not the icy stuff we had last week.  Groundhog says we are going to have an early spring in 2011...

Ski?  The Worthingview neighborhood in West Worthington (Columbus Ohio 43235) has cool snowy names.

Cross Country Drive I looked at a house on Cross Country Drive when I moved to Columbus in 1990 with a set of cross country skis.

Duffy... I always assumed the street was named after the  home builder

Snowmass is a place in Colorado

Buttermilk?

Tiehack?

Amol?

Hatherly?

Ski Worthingview?

Skiing in Columbus? Worthingview has some backyards that might make for thrilling cross country skiing.  Being close to the river there are ravines in the Worthingview area.  Were these snow covered slopes in flat Central Ohio what gave the Worthingview neighborhood streets their names?   I have cross country skied with  friends in High Bluffs Metro Park.  My skis were stolen and I never replaced them but I have a little sled.... actually it is a little piece of blue plastic.  Great for sledding.

Sledding is popular at the Olentangy Parklands.   Olentangy Parklands is right down the hill (W. Wilson Bridge Road) and accross the Olentangy River in the City of Worthington.

My Worthingview Google Map, centered on Cross Country Drive is too small for you to see the street names, but if you click on it, it will show you Cross Country Drive, Snowmass Rd. Buttermilk Rd., Tiehack Ct., and other streets whose names may or may not have anything to do with skiing.

Ski Names in Worthingview in West Worthington

When it comes to "Ski" names in the Worthingview neighborhood, Wikipedia is your friend.  When it comes to finding the where for some of the names of the streets in the Worthingview neighborhood in West Worthington:

Snowmass Village according to Wikipedia: " Snowmass Village is a Home Rule Municipality in Pitkin County, Colorado, United States. The population was 1,822 at the 2000 census. A popular winter resort location for skiingsnowboarding, the town is best known as the location of the Snowmass ski area, the largest of the four nearby ski areas operated collectively as Aspen/Snowmass;"

Buttermilk "Buttermilk Ski Area is the easiest skiing mountain in Aspen, Colorado."

Google showed me "stuff" that makes me know Tiehack Ct.'s name is related to skiing too.  I suppose a search of Google Map would tell me if it is a place.
