I was not sure if the "neighborhood" Trulia referred to was the Grandview Heights area, or if they were lumping that area with the City of Grandview Heights.

Grandview Heights and Marble Cliff being older, smaller suburb of Columbus are not as "subdivided" as other suburbs developed later.  There are newer condominiums that are known by a name and newer single family areas as well.  Some neighborhood names you may run into in the Grandview Heights City School Disttrict include  French Quarter, Grandview Passage, Grandview Commons, Stonegate Village and Summit Chase.

I first pulled stats and created a graph for Grandview Heights MLS area, I think of that as the City of Grandview Heights.  I guess it is the City of Grandview Heights and the Village of Marble Cliff.  Then I noticed that last month (end of June numbers, homes for sale in July 2009) I pulled stats and did a graph for  Grandview Heights School District vs. the 43212 ZIP code.  Not City of Grandview Heights vs. the 43212 ZIP. I thought the stats and graphs for the Grandview Heights MLS (multiple listing service) area and the Grandview Heights School District should be identical. 

Nope.  Off by one house.  I created a third graph (the first one I made), it is very similar to the top one here.  There is one house listed as in the Grandview Heights School District which is NOT listed as in Grandview Heights.  Input error?  Or just weirdness.  We have lots of school district weirdness when you get out further north and west in other school districts.

The 43212 ZIP code has homes in the Columbus, Grandview Heights and Upper Arlington School District.

Teen Puts ‘Pet Project’ In Front Of Council

In the Reader Reaction to the story on NBC4i.com "Sprockets" said:

"There are very good reasons why farm animals are called “farm animals” and not “suburb” or “city animals.“  In fact, there are several reasons.  So what if this guy wants to keep chickens?  Let him grow up, get a job, and move to the freaking country."

"Sprockets" mentions also he lived next door to someone who had a rooster...

Doesn't moving to the country kind of defeat that whole urban sustainability thing?  The pet chickens are the second step in the teen's plan.  First step a garden.

Andy Smigelski the Grandview Heights Ohio teen who wants to keep chickens in his backyard goes before the safety committee of the Grandview Heights council on Thursday. 

Worthington's Chicken Leash Laws  there was talk of a pet chicken law not too long ago.
