The Doo Dah Parade - Columbus, OH
The Doo Dah Parade is my favorite part of the 4th of July. The Doo Dah Parade is on Sunday July 4, 2010 at 1:00 PM. The rain date is usually the day before isn't it? You would not be out of place sitting on the side of the street from 11:00 AM...
Who is in the Doo Dah Parade in Columbus? Who ever... (or is it whom ever?) wants to be. You just show up. According to the Doo Dah website:
"2010 Less-Than-Grand Marshal: Ann Fisher of WOSU AM/FM/TV (in 3D) escorted (hopefully) by Police Horses Buddy & Harry (could be two plastic rocking horses)"
In 3D????
The 3D slide show is from the Doo Dah Parade- Columbus OH 2008. We sat on Neil Avenue in Victorian Village, last year we got there late so we stood right on High St. in the Short North. I have photos of that Parade, lots of the Donato's in the background... I prefer Victorian homes in the background.
A favorite of mine year after year? The Marching Fidels... Each year politics and current events make the Doo Dah Parade new and exciting and unpredictable.
