On the site the words in the parenthsis after the school is the city where the school's address is, for example Upper Arlington has a Columbus mailing address. Central Crossing has a Grove City address but Grove City is in South-Western City Schools and so is Westland High School (address is Galloway.)  What's in the parenthesis on mine are the school district the high school is in. 

On the calendar for Thomas Worthington  MaxPreps.com says "(Columbus) for Worthington Kilbourne High School as well as Upper Arlington High School and Whetstone High School...whic is actually in the Columbus City School District. 

Solon... is Solon in Solon Schools.  I know Solon is way up near Cleveland... drive careful football fans!

On the MaxPrep site the words in the parenthsis after the school is the city where the school's address is, for example Upper Arlington has a Columbus mailing address.  The words above in parenthesis are the school district the school is in to the best of my knowledge.   Of course everyone in the Worthington City School District knows that Worthington Kilbourne is in Worthington City Schools.  Does everyone know Westland and Central Crossing are in South-Western City Schools? You are probably smarter than me.  I had to look them up.  I have to look up if South-Western has a hyphen and if it is West or Western, any time I have to write it out.  And Jonathan Alder?  I thought it was Plain City Local School District.  I am really bad with schools in the Columbus City School District too, too many to keep straight.  Whetstone is one of the few I recognize...

Worthington's Liberty Elementary School is in the far northwest part of the Worthington City School District.

The school is physically located in the City of Columbus and it is in Franklin County.  The schools mailing address is 8081 Saddle Run Road, Powell Ohio 43065.  - map   Liberty Elementary School is the farthest northwest Worthington elementary school serving neighborhoods that border the Dublin and Olentangy School Districts.  The part of the City of  Columbus that is in the Worthington School District was the Worthington School District long before the land was annexed into the City of Columbus.

Worthington's Liberty Elementary School - Neighborhoods

The current attendance areas for Worthington's Liberty Elementary School include Woodbridge Green, Worthingwoods and Western Hills. The current  Worthington Elementary Attendance Map shows the neighborhoods west of Smokey Row go to Granby Elementary up to Summit View Rd.  The neighborhoods east of Smokey Row and west of the railroad track go Liberty Elementary School.   North of Summitview both sides of Smokey Row go to Liberty Elementary School.   The Worthington City School District also has a list by streets.  If attendance in a particular school is important to your family, check and double check the property addresses' attendance area.  Know that school attendance areas within the school district can change over the years based on changes in the areas population.   

Worthington's Liberty Elementary School received the grade of Excellent with Distinction for the 2009 - 2010 school year.

 Bluffsview Elementary School neighborhoods - Worthington Schools

Bluffsview Elementary School - 7111 Linworth Rd, Columbus Ohio 43235

Stilson Highlands, Stilson Village, Worthingview are some of the W. Worthington neighborhoods that attend Bluffsview Elementary School.  Most Columbus Ohio 43235 neighborhoods with Bluff in their name...  attend Bluffsview Elementary school, the neighborhoods across Linworth Road, the neighborhood behind the school.  Those "Bluff" neighborhood names all run together for me.

You are not able to drill down to what schools your children would attend by address on real estate searches, in Central Ohio.   Attendance areas change over time.  The homes will not change from being Worthington City School District but school attendance boundaries can change based on shifts in population.  Worthington is not  a growing school district in the way that other Central Ohio districts are.  More stability?

If looking for a home in a particular school's attendance area check and double check.

Bluffsview Elementary School is located at  7111 Linworth Rd, Columbus Ohio 43235.  Bluffsview as well as the area it serves are in the City of Columbus and Worthington schools.  School boundaries were established long before this area was developed.  Worthington was NOT part of the Win Win agreement. Worthington has an agreement with Columbus, Columbus City School District that predates the Win Win Agreement.

"Worthington schools are not included"

In a history of the Win-Win agreement the Columbus Dispatch wrote "Worthington schools are not included"

which says  "1986: Win-Win agreement signed between Columbus and 10 suburban districts: Canal Winchester, Dublin, Gahanna-Jefferson, Groveport Madison, Hamilton, Hilliard, New Albany-Plain, Reynoldsburg, South-Western and Westerville. Because of the 1968 agreement, Worthington schools are not included."

Worthington already had an agreement with the Columbus school district and the city of Columbus.  The Worthingon agreement goes back to 1968 and there was a land swap. The Budweiser brewery for neighborhoods south of the City of Worthington.

In 1992 the first time the Win-Win agreement renewed I had just moved to Central Ohio two years earlier.  As a home buyer I knew nothing of Win-Win.  We bought a home in Brookside Colony in the Dublin School District.  Brookside Colony is very close to the Worthington School District.  I remember the Worthington School Superindtent coming to a Greater Worthington real estate association meeting and telling us "Worthington schools are not included."

Perhaps my memory of 1992 is distorted.  I know I went on two listing appointments for people who were concerned our part of Dublin schools was going to become part of Columbus schools...  one man was a Dublin school teacher... he lived in Oakridge  Meadows, next neighborhood east, Smoky Row Manor is one of those where part of the subdivision is Dublin schools and part is Worthington.  The majoriity of Smoky Row Manor is in the Worthington City School District. 

When the school superintendent or school board president said in effect "Worthington schools are not included"  I thought... a half a mile east... if we'd bought a half a mile east. 

I don't foresee major changes to the Win Win agreement ever, but when Win-Win becomes news every six years,  remember Worthington schools are not included!

The school year started in August for Worthington City Schools but schools were closed this week after a big storm hit Central Ohio.  A wind storm on Sunday September 14 2008, the remnants of hurricane Ike closed Worthington and most Central Ohio schools this week.   Today,  Thursday September 18 some Worthington Schools are opening with a two hour delay.

School in Worthington that are still closed today because they have no power are Colonial Hills, Worthington Estates, Wilson Hill, Worthington Hills and Worthingway.
