Spring Forward 2012

 Real Living Spring Forward

Spring Forward central Ohio!

Remember to turn your clocks forward an hour late Saturday or early Sunday.  Forget you'll be playing catch up all day!  You will be late for everything Sunday, if you do not reset your clocks for daylight savings.

We have had a mild winter. Buckeye Chuck promised us an early spring: Spring is around the corner Columbus

The sunshine in the evening will be nice.

Central Ohio weather

The image is a Real Living ecard.  The old Real Living... the Real Living that was based in Columbus Ohio and used orange and red together.  The new Real Living looks a little differnent.  I like the old look...   Real Living was formed in 2002 by HER Realtors (now known as Real Living HER) and two other Ohio brokerages.

Weather is local

Duh!  Of course it is. I blogged about local weather and Active Rain on my Columbus Best Blog today**  We get more rain than Seattle (according to an Ohio Blog) but Seattle's welcome to keep the 'Rain City' title as far as I am concerned.

TornadoColumbus Ohio was tied with Tulsa Oklahoma and Oklahoma City **for the 9th most dangerous city as far as natural disasters. Recently Leanne Paynter of  Florida Real Estate Blog** stated her preference for hurricanes over earthquakes or tornadoes.

I prefer tornadoes. Maybe it is a midwestern thing.  Comfortable with your own surroundings? You can tell this is a midwestern tornado rather than an New York City tornado*....  because of the tractor and cow....

What's your preference?

A. Earthquake

B. Hurricane

C. Tornado

I have never been in either a big earthquake (we have had little earthquakes in Ohio)  or a hurricane but from what I've seen on TV I am glad we just have tornadoes.  I am even more glad that I have never been close to a tornado.

I have worked with buyers from out of state who are very concerned about tornadoes.

*were there tornadoes in NYC last week or was it just a tornado watch?

** this is an old, old post.  Written in 2006.  I was trying to update it and it re-published with today's date...  there were no tornadoes in NYC last week... this was 5 years ago. The old links were all broken.   I don't use animated gifs anymore... well maybe I would drag this one out... you gotta love a flying cow.   There was an earthquake in Virginia last week that some felt in Central Ohio.  We have had pretty good weather mostly in 2011...  knock on wood.
